Spreading festive cheer through Magic Makers!
Magic Makers is one of our most popular volunteering events of the year. It’s a wonderful programme for our corporate partners to visit our partner primary schools and to spread festive cheer. Employees from companies that work with us purchase presents from a carefully curated list, wrap them and either send or deliver them to the children we support. Children in our partner schools then have a wonderful range of gifts, including books, games and toys, enhancing their school breakfast experience. Those children living in households where budgets are tight especially appreciate this opportunity to unwrap presents and enjoy a magical moment with their friends.
This year we introduced remote Magic Makers and we’re incredibly grateful to all partners who got involved by posting festive gifts to our partner schools. We work with a large number of schools who don’t have access to volunteering because they are in locations which are difficult to reach by our wonderful volunteers.
Everyone really enjoyed the experience and we hope the children enjoy the gifts for many years to come. Hopefully we’ll be able to join again next year! The staff and team were delightfully welcoming and evidently seriously proud of their school which was wonderful to see. Also, as a parent I found it particularly heart warming to see how much care the children receive and what a positive impact such small things can have on children.”

This year has been an absolute success and we’re delighted to say that we reached over 1200 children directly through sharing the presents and 170 corporate volunteers joined us in total.
We are so thankful to all of our corporate partners who got involved this year!
This was a great event organised by Magic Breakfast. The volunteers were very focused on the children. They spent a lot of the time playing and talking to the children. The presents they bought for the school were amazing and will be great activities for the children attending breakfast club to share as well as other children throughout the school.”
