Our Policy and Public Affairs Officer, Jordan, explains why we at Magic Breakfast are so interested in the government’s Children’s Wellbeing Bill.

We expect the details of the bill to be released in the coming months. Now is the perfect time to urge politicians to include our recommendations and make sure their school breakfast plan is hunger-focussed, and barrier and stigma free:

  • Provide breakfasts in a variety of ways to suit the specific needs of each school and their pupils,
  • Ensure breakfasts are fully funded and properly resourced,
  • Reach all primary school aged children, including those in SEND (special educational needs and disability) schools and other alternative provisions.
